Who you are dealing with
cybernalyst.com is operated by Definitive Concept Ltd, a company incorporated in Mauritius, registered at 15 Issackhan Street, Coromandel, Mauritius. Cybernalyst is its cyber security, data analytics and forensics division. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Definitive Concept Ltd trading as Cybernalyst, and "you" means the person or organisation using this site.
What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of this website and the enquiry and onboarding forms on it. Using the site means you accept them.
These are not our service terms. Where you have a signed agreement, master services agreement, statement of work or order form with us, that document governs the services, the fees, the service levels and the liability position between us. If anything here conflicts with a signed agreement, the signed agreement wins.
Using this site
You may read the site, quote it with attribution, and print pages for internal use. You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to this site, its server, or any system or network connected to it;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site, or breach its security or authentication measures, without our prior written authorisation;
- introduce malicious code, or attempt to interrupt or degrade the service;
- use automated means to harvest content, contact details or personal data from the site;
- misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any organisation when contacting us.
We are a security company. Requests to this site are logged and attacks are acted on. Unauthorised access, unauthorised interference and related conduct are criminal offences in Mauritius under the Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Act 2021. If you believe you have found a vulnerability in this site, report it to hello@definitiveconcept.com rather than exploiting it. We will not pursue good-faith research that comes to us that way, does not access other people's data, and gives us a reasonable window to fix the issue.
Enquiries, onboarding and quotations
- Submitting the enquiry form or the onboarding form does not create a contract, and does not oblige us to accept an engagement. We may decline work, including where we judge a scope unsafe or a conflict to exist.
- Information you give us at onboarding is used to scope and quote. Please make it accurate — a quotation built on a wrong server count or a wrong licence position will be re-issued, not honoured.
- Quotations are valid for the period stated on them. Where a quotation includes third-party licences or hardware, it is subject to that vendor's pricing and availability at the time the order is placed.
- Licence and hardware figures on this site follow the relevant vendor's current commercial catalogue. They are indicative, not an offer.
Acronis, Microsoft and other vendors
We are an authorised partner and reseller. We are not the manufacturer or the licensor of the products we supply.
- Acronis software, Microsoft 365 licences and Microsoft hardware are supplied under the relevant vendor's own licence terms, warranties and acceptable use policies. You accept those terms when you order.
- Hardware warranties are the manufacturer's. Where your agreement with us says so, we administer warranty and replacement claims on your behalf; that is a service we perform, not a warranty we give.
- Vendor product names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners and are used here only to identify the products we supply.
The incident line
- +230 5254 7558 is for reporting a suspected security incident.
- Response times, escalation paths, out-of-hours cover and any service credits are set in your signed agreement. Publishing a number is not itself a service commitment, and calling it does not create one.
- It is not an emergency service. Where there is a risk to life, safety or property, contact the emergency services first.
- If you are calling about an active incident, preserve the evidence. Do not power down affected systems or begin restoring before containment unless we have advised you to.
Published intelligence
Advisories, research, guides and playbooks on this site are published for general information. They are accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication and are not tailored advice for your environment.
- Items carry a Traffic Light Protocol designation. Respect it when you redistribute them.
- Threat information ages quickly. An advisory that was correct on its publication date may be superseded without the page being amended.
- Acting on published material is at your own risk. If you want it assessed against your own estate, engage us to do that.
Client portal
- Portal access is issued to named individuals. Credentials must not be shared, and access must not be transferred when someone leaves your organisation — tell us and we will re-issue.
- You are responsible for activity carried out under credentials issued to you. Tell us immediately if you suspect one has been compromised.
- We may suspend or revoke access without notice where we believe it is necessary to protect the platform or another client.
Intellectual property
The site and its design, text, graphics, layout and the Cybernalyst name and logo are owned by Definitive Concept Ltd or used under licence. You may read and quote our material with attribution and a link, and print it for internal use. You may not republish it commercially, resell it, or use it to build or market a competing service.
Availability and links
- We aim to keep this site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict it for maintenance or for security reasons, generally without notice.
- The site links to third-party sites. Those links are provided for convenience; we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
Liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- This website is provided on an as is basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, conditions and terms in respect of the website and its content.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of this website or reliance on material published on it.
- Liability arising under a services contract is governed by the liability provisions of that contract. This section neither limits nor extends them.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. It also explains the difference between data we hold as a controller and data we handle inside your systems as your processor.
Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies, and the date at the top is the date of the current version. This version takes effect on 29 August 2026. Changes to these website terms do not vary a signed agreement, which can only be varied as that agreement provides.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of this site, are governed by the laws of Mauritius. The courts of Mauritius have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any dispute resolution or arbitration provision in a signed agreement between us, which prevails for matters arising under that agreement.
